HBAC MANIFESTO FILM
HBAC Performance Manifesto is an artist film by SLQS. This work is a documentation of HBAC Performance Manifesto, written during the last term of her pregnancy and the Home Birth After Cesarean performed on 04-05 November 2018 by the artist with the support of two independent midwives. This film is autobiographical and created in response to the artist’s lived experience of being assessed by the NHS as ‘high risk’ having previously had a caesarean and denied her birthing rights to having a home birth.

ALEGO
Alego is a dance show with live music in which the cycle of life is mirrored by the practise of rice cultivation in a rural area in the south of Catalonia. The show is inspired the novel Terres de l’Ebre, by writer Sebastià Juan Arbó.
The protagonists of Alego are Marc Lapuerta and Laia Macias, dancers with an extensive career in the world of contemporary dance, and Néfur, an international composer who experiments with the sounds of nature and mixes them with her own and unique voice.
Through words, movement and music we witness a process of empowerment and enlightenment of a soul immersed in gray. We are invited to escape the romanticization of rural life and paint it with its real chiaroscuro: a place of sometimes stark beauty and hardship, but not without epiphanies.
